Generally, the King trunk requires a base plate for installation, but the Chopped trunk and Razor trunk do not. However, if you prefer to have a base plate, you can purchase it separately from our website.
The XF111582 base plate is designed specifically for the XF111539 series King trunk to hide the wiring for the runk light.
If you want install the base plate of XF111582 on the Chopped trunk or Razor trunk, the base plate needs to be used on the opposite side due to the different shapes of the bottom of the trunk. The holes may be uneven, and you need to drill new holes before installation.
If you insist on using base plate for your Chopped trunk or Razor trunk, we generally recommend you choose the XF111530.
